#INTRODUCTION
Bodhodoy is a registered society under the West Bengal Society Registration Act, 1961 (Registration No: S/0004767), and is also registered under Section 80G and NITI AYOG, New Delhi. Since 2017, Bodhodoy has been working tirelessly for the betterment of the tribal community in Bankura and Purulia districts.
# EDUCATION
Bodhodoy conducts non-formal educational centers for tribal and Sabar students in remote marginal tribal villages of Bankura and Purulia. The society provides all necessary teaching-learning materials, including copies, books, pens, drawing copies, and pencils, to 14 non-formal educational centers. Additionally, they pay honorarium to teachers with the help of Relearn Foundation
# HEALTH & NUTRITION
Bodhodoy distributes nutritious food to Sabar pregnant women at Bhutam Sabar village, Puncha, Purulia District. They have also organized free medical camps with the help of Para BPHC, Purulia, BSMC &H, Bankura, Aswas, Bankura, and other organizations, providing free medicines and expert medical care.
# WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
The society empowers women by providing them with blankets, woolen garments, and clothes. They have also organized several annual sports events and picnics to promote fellow feeling among community students.
# OTHERS SOCIAL WORK
Bodhodoy has organized excursions for tribal students to Science centers at Purulia and Dinosaur Park. They also conduct nature study camps every year at Lotihir village, Bishnupur. The society provides daily essentials like Chola and Gur to students of their 14 educational centers, thanks to the financial support of The Relearn Foundation. They also provide necessary infrastructure like mats, blackboards, emergency lights, tables, and chairs to each center.
